In a bid to address the escalating security challenges in the country, the Minority Leader of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon Samuel Neji Abang, has emphasized the need for a strategic focus on engaging the youth in agriculture and related activities. Hon Abang made this call during the Youth Security Conference held at the Ikom Local Government Area (LGA) Headquarters in Cross River State.

Speaking passionately to a gathering of youths and security personnel, Hon Neji Abang asserted that involving young people in agricultural pursuits could significantly contribute to resolving the prevailing security issues. He urged the government, corporate organizations, and other stakeholders to actively participate in creating opportunities for the youth in this sector.
