Tonto Dike is behind Gistlover – Very Dark Man.
Martins Vincent, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has accused Tonto Dike, a popular Nollywood actress and politician, of being behind the controversial Gistlover Blog.
A few weeks ago, the police were on a rampage to uncover the mask behind the controversial Gistlover Blog. The operators of the blog were accused of posting untrue stories capable of breaching public peace and engaging in activities the police termed illegal. This led to the arrest of three suspects who, from their testimonies, were only accessories to Gistlover as the true Gistlover could not be found.
Yesterday, on the 13th of January 2023, Martins Vincent, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, posted a video accusing Nollywood actress Tonto Dike as the mask behind the Gistlover Blog.
VeryDarkMan reported that he was invited by the police command in Abuja over a joint petition initiated by Tonto Dike and Iyabo Ojo, who accused him of threats to life.
Upon careful examination of the videos presented as evidence supporting the petition against VeryDarkMan, Iyabo Ojo had petitioned for defamation of character. VeryDarkMan had said in one of his videos that she, Iyabo, and her daughter were engaging in a threesome. In response, VeryDarkMan stated that he made the statement in retaliation out of provocation because Iyabo Ojo had claimed that his parents were involved in illegal activities.
For the allegation of alleged threats to life against VeryDarkMan, Tonto Dike leveraged the statement made by him in one of his videos where he said, “I will chop your father.” When asked about the statement, VeryDarkMan explained that it meant he would follow up and ensure justice would prevail.
From her body language, Tonto Dike was bent on VeryDarkMan’s detention, but after all efforts to fulfill her wish, the police declined to detain VeryDarkMan. When she saw that there was nothing she could do, she picked up her phone and took a picture of VeryDarkMan and his lawyer.
The police had initially warned that no one should enter the room with any phone or device, except the one in their custody, to look up supporting video evidence. Tonto Dike’s phone was accessed by the police to confirm that she had not taken any pictures, which she confirmed she had already deleted.
A few minutes later, the photos of Verydarkman and his lawyer was on the Gistlover Blog and many social media handles. This led to Verydarkman drawing the conclusion that TontoDike was the mask behind the wanted Gist Lover Blog. An allegation that has not been proven, but the police still have a duty to conduct investigations to ensure that the true force behind the mask is unveiled.
