‘THE PEOPLE FIRST BUDGET’ is not merely a fiscal plan; it symbolizes a commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined by the United Nations. The priorities embedded in this budget align with key SDGs, including Good Health and Wellbeing, Zero Hunger, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Clean Water and Sanitation, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Industry Renovation and Infrastructure, as well as Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.

Remarkably, this budget goes beyond the standard financial allocations; it embraces social responsibility by addressing critical issues such as the timely payment of Pension and Gratuity, a gesture aimed at bringing smiles to the faces of retirees. Moreover, it emphasizes employment opportunities, support for the less privileged and vulnerable members of society, and initiatives for the rehabilitation and settlement of street kids.

At VOTP News, we commend the Cross River State government for its dedication to the people’s welfare and progress. While acknowledging the strides taken, we earnestly urge that the allocated funds be judiciously utilized for the betterment of the public. Our plea extends to the completion of unfinished projects, ensuring that the budget’s vision, mirroring the genuine needs and challenges of Crossrivarians, is fully realized for the benefit of all.  At VOTP News We would continue to Bring you verified Reports and Updates from Cross River State
