The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of Nick Imudia, a prominent businessman and entrepreneur known for his leadership roles in several major companies in Nigeria. Imudia, most recognized as the former CEO of Konga Group, one of Nigeria’s leading online shopping platforms, reportedly committed suicide. Despite the staggering numbers, the WHO emphasizes that suicide remains a topic people rarely discuss, affecting the victims’ children, parents, partners, friends, or colleagues.

Imudia, who was the CEO of d.light at the time of his death, reportedly took his own life on the night of Tuesday, June 25, by jumping from the balcony of his Lekki, Lagos apartment. Before making the jump, Imudia called his US-based brother to give instructions on how to distribute his wealth should anything happen to him. He also called his young daughter from a previous relationship, assuring her that he would always be there for her and that she could see him in the sky.
