Makinde approves 500k Scholarship for Law School StudentsHis Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde, the executive Governor of Oyo State, has magnanimously approved a bursary allowance of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000) per student for the batch 2023 law school attendees hailing from Oyo state. This benevolent gesture, according to reliable sources, has become a perennial tradition, with  governor Makinde  initiating the practice in 2019 and unwaveringly honoring this commitment ever since.

The backdrop to this commendable scholarship offering is the notable increase in fees by the Nigerian Law School, soaring from 290,000 to 476,000. Governor Makinde’s scholarship program is strategically designed to alleviate the financial burden on indigent students from Oyo state pursuing legal education, thereby encouraging them to successfully complete the mandatory one-year course and qualify as lawyers.

As the Nigerian Law School prepares to resume on the 29th of January, the Board ensures that comprehensive measures are in place to deliver top-notch services throughout the one-year course. Noteworthy renovations and fortifications have been completed across all campuses in Nigeria, signifying a commitment to creating conducive environments for legal education.
