Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu to Present 2025 Appropriation Bill Today
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to present the 2025 Appropriation Bill to the Lagos State House of Assembly today, November 21, 2024. This budget, themed the “Budget of Sustainability,” is expected to exceed several trillion Naira, surpassing the ₦2.267 trillion allocation for 2024. The presentation is scheduled to take place at noon and marks another ambitious stride toward Lagos’ development.

Governor Sanwo-Olu’s 2024 budget, themed the “Budget of Renewal,” laid the foundation for sustainable growth. Signed into law on January 18, 2024, the ₦2.267 trillion allocation focused heavily on capital projects, with ₦1.315 trillion dedicated to infrastructure and ₦952.4 billion earmarked for recurrent expenditures.
