Upon their arrival in the town, the assailants initiated their attack by targeting the local police station situated along the Anyigba-Idah road. Tragically, a newly stationed police officer, identified only as Idoko, fell victim to their violence. Idoko, who had recently been transferred to the station and hailed from the nearby town of Iyale within the same local government area, succumbed to the attackers’ onslaught.
Additionally, the assailants claimed the life of another individual known as Alagama, a familiar figure in Anyigba recognized for vending petty goods near the roundabout.
