Bobrisky finally Goes to Jail-A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has jailed cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, with no option of fine.We Would recal that on the 4th of April Nigeria Social media influencer and Cross-dresser Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for illegally spraying the total sum of N400,000 at the imax Circle Mall, Jakande, Lekki on the 24th day of March,2024. Bob was also accused of tamparing with the sum N50, 000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira) whilst he was dancing during a social event at Aja Junction, lkorodu, between July and August,2023.
Further allegations included tampering with N20,000 at the White Steve Event Hall, Ikeja, in December 2023, and tampering with another N20,000 during a social event in 2022 at Event Hall, Oniru, Victoria Island.During the trial, Bobrisky pleaded guilty to the charges of abusing the Nigerian currency, though two of the charges were later dropped. Despite pleading for leniency as a first-time offender, the court found him guilty, asserting that his actions contravened section 21(1) of the Central Bank Act, 2007.

The judge’s decision came after Bobrisky confirmed his gender as male during the trial proceedings.
The conviction followed Bobrisky’s acknowledgment of guilt to the four counts of abusing the naira, which had been leveled against him by the EFCC. The judge initially scheduled the sentencing for the previous Thursday but had to adjourn due to a public holiday declared by the Federal government for Eid-l-Fitr celebrations.The charges against Bobrisky highlighted instances where he tampered with various sums of money while dancing at different social events, thereby violating the Central Bank Act of 2007.
