As detailed in the Army’s ‘Report On Joint Task Force Operational Activities,’ the suspected gunrunner was captured in Boi, situated within the confines of Bogoro Local Government Area in Bauchi State. Subsequent investigations revealed that the detainee was a dismissed soldier previously associated with the 5th Brigade in Damasak. The operation yielded a significant haul, including two pistols, two magazines, and eight rounds of 9 mm ammunition.

On the same day, another operation culminated in the arrest of two individuals suspected of providing logistical support to the infamous Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists. These arrests occurred at Kukareta Market, nestled within Damaturu Local Government Area in Yobe State. In addition to the detainees, security forces also confiscated two mobile phones and the sum of Seven Thousand Two Hundred and Sixty-Five Naira (N7,265.00), alongside various other miscellaneous items.
